Does anyone still play? is anyone up for a last hurrah? With the goal of maintaining a high level of battle between the three Empires of PlanetSide, the two North American servers, Markov and Emerald, will be merged into one server, Gemini, on May 20, 2008.
Starting today, as a part of a select group of past PlanetSide players, you will be able to log in for free until May 21, 2008. If I'm gonna be on my own, I'm not too interested. but if you lot are up for jumping back in and seeing how it's changed and playing for a bit, then it could be fun  Thoughts? |

As it's only valid till the 21st of this month, that's only 2 weeks from today... so I guess that means we'd have to jump on as soon as possible to make it worthwhile.
when I get home (might not be till tomorrow) I'll be reinstalling planetside and core combat and upgrading them to the current version.
I haven't played this in forever.. I hope I am not loaded out with completely shite skills that I won't have time to replace with something useful.
iirc I had the multi-quad-cycle thing, multimax, and the heavier armour type with two weapon slots, as well as hacking, and the thing that lets you see cloakers

From memory you got the option to do complete cert wipes at some point some time ago.... so you might well be able to drop all your certs and recert in one foul swoop. If I had the time I wouldnt mind one last harrah either - why cant there be 26 hours in the day  |

Well mine's installed, patched, and confirmed working. I know I at one point had a higher level character than anything I still have... the best I can manage now is a level 7 Terran Republic soldier or a level 5 Vanu Sovereignty grunt. We going TR or VS? (we had novacula-dvda (tr) and novacula (vs) on markov) When I signed on I got 3 seperate long service awards  |

we mostly hung around TR, sexy black n red outfits and you get smash those NC twists up the side of the head without having to run around in a gender challenged purple jump suit  Ok im going to have to go dig up disks up now  |

Installed and patched, worth a quick run around while it's free I reckon. Reading the patch notes it seems to have moved on quite a bit from when I last played but hopefully it should be fun.

Im also kicking around a bit at the moment also TR, its nice playing on a modern rig - nice frame rates faster load times... quite enjoying it.
Normally floating around in the evenings between 7ish and 12ish
Thann has a teamspeak server running although I cant remember the details off the top of my head

Hahah, got the email too - thought why not. Then thought what was the address of those dodgy NV guys again - wonder if any of them are getting back into it! Sure enough.  Wonder if the old characters are still there? Guess I'll find out when I get home and log in! Left it updating this morning. |
